For the ninth consecutive year, Vienna tops our Quality of Living ranking.

In 2018, Mercer has again ranked Vienna first in its international quality of living survey as the city with the highest quality of living worldwide. The study compares 231 cities worldwide based on 39 criteria such as political, social, economic, and environmental factors. Two more European cities are among the top five: Zurich ranks 2nd and Munich 3rd. Auckland (ranking 3rd) and Vancouver (ranking 5th) complete the list of the top five cities to live worldwide. Apparently, the worst place to live is Baghdad, positioned last in the list.
