In the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018, Vetmeduni Vienna ranks sixth in the field of "Veterinary Sciences". Since 2009, 54 different subjects in the categories Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences have been examined and evaluated by more than 4,000 universities worldwide. With its 6th place, Vetmeduni Vienna increased by two places compared to the previous year in its department "Veterinary Sciences", which belongs to the Life Sciences Block. The only University of Veterinary Medicine in Austria is therefore a fixed component of the international top field and the highest ranked university institution in the German-speaking area. The subject-independent overall ranking of all registered universities will only be published after the study subject ranking has been announced.
