The event included a networking meeting with Georgian higher education institutions and a study fair. The networking meeting took place under the auspices of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia. The event strived to connect European higher education institutions with their Georgian counterparts and to enhance cooperation in the tertiary education sector through personal talks between representatives. Georgian representatives of HEIs emphasized their interest in cooperating with Austrian higher education institutions. This interest is also well reflected in the many partnerships and projects between Austrian and Georgian higher education institutions that have solidified over the past years within Erasmus+.
The study fair was scheduled from 3 to 8 pm and was well visited. Approximately 1300 students had registered for the event. They took advantage of the opportunity to learn about studying in Europe and scholarships from 13 representatives of national promotion agencies and universities in Europe. Overall, Georgian students were very interested in studying in Austria and often already had concrete plans for their studies abroad.
