The TECH scholarship supports students pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Civil Engineering with total funding of EUR 8,400 for the first academic year. Scholarship holders also benefit from a free German language course and the opportunity to take up part-time employment in their second year of study. Eligible applicants must not be residing in Austria or hold Austrian citizenship at the time of application. Admission to a Master’s programme at FH Kärnten is required prior to applying for the scholarship.
For the current academic year, four international students were selected through the competitive application process: Soliona Dingo from Albania, Jan Lupse from Slovenia, Schreeniti Madhavan from Germany, and Mustafa Bilgec from Turkey. Thanks to the scholarship on offer, all four chose to pursue a Master’s degree at FH Kärnten. The university’s aim is to attract highly qualified international students and to support their integration as well as their long-term retention in the region of Carinthia.
For the students, the scholarship represents more than just financial support—it opens doors to new perspectives and global collaboration. They contribute not only their academic expertise, but also diverse cultural backgrounds and ideas that enrich innovation in the tech sector.
FH Kärnten is currently seeking corporate partners to support the TECH scholarship and to employ the students within their companies after the first year of study.
