FHV – Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences offers a diverse range of bachelor's and master's programmes in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Business Administration, Design, and Social Work and Health. At the same time FHV is one of the most research-intensive universities of applied sciences in Austria.
Courses are offered in small group settings, allowing students to enjoy practical, future-oriented and innovative teaching. The close link between studies and research gives students the opportunity to participate in research projects already at an early stage of their studies.
FHV also offers continuing education courses, connecting local society and lifelong learning.
The university is located in the westernmost part of Austria, in the middle of the Alps and right at the centre of the Lake Constance region, one of the strongest economic regions of the European Union. Due to its central location and excellent transportation connections Vorarlberg is also an ideal gateway for European travel.

As a European University, RUN-EU, FHV greatly values its regional cooperations with companies, NGOs and local authorities while at the same time sharing knowledge and conducting research with partners from all over Europe. In doing so, researchers and students develop practical solutions for business, technology and society. Combined with a strong international outlook, students at FHV have a wide range of opportunities: Exchange students and local students study together during the semesters taught in English or get to know FHV during one of the short intensive programmes that are offered. Degree seeking students can choose from more than 110 international partner universities when planning their international experience, from a semester abroad or a double degree to a blended intensive programme or a study trip.
