New fully funded PhD positions at ISTA

The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is once again opening the application phase for its international doctoral programme.

ISTA awards fully funded PhD positions in more than ten scientific disciplines, including astronomy, biology, computer science, mathematics and physics. Applicants benefit from an international research environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and five-year contracts including full financial support. Funds are also available for conferences and workshops.

Applications for a start date in September 2026 can be submitted until 8 January 2026.
