Together with around 100 participants from 34 Austrian higher education institutions, the OeAD represented Austria’s higher education landscape under the “Study in Austria” brand at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow. The conference provided valuable opportunities to strengthen international partnerships, make new connections and discuss current developments in the internationalisation of higher education.
A key highlight was the Austrian Reception on 9 September at Òran Mór, hosted by the OeAD together with Advantage Austria London and oeadstudenthousing. More than 200 guests from around the world joined the evening, celebrating international mobility and cooperation. A special highlight was the “Celebrating the UK’s Return to Erasmus+” prize draw.
The European Universities Initiative was also part of the exchange. At a poster session, the OeAD presented SPREAD EUI, a cooperation between the national agencies of Austria, Germany, Norway and Hungary. The project aims to make innovative results and practices from European University Alliances accessible to the wider higher education sector.
