Central European University (CEU) is revising two master’s programmes offered by its Department of Economics. From the 2027/28 academic year, the MS in Finance will be renamed MS in Finance, Data & AI, while the MS in Business Analytics will become the MS in Business Data Analytics & AI.
The revised programmes address changes in data-intensive professions and bring together disciplinary expertise, analytical foundations, data and AI capabilities, and the ability to assess results critically in context.
- The MS in Finance, Data & AI combines finance education with data analysis and practical AI literacy. Its subject areas include corporate finance, banking, investments, financial markets and risk.
- The MS in Business Data Analytics & AI connects statistics, applied data science and AI with business contexts. Students learn how to select suitable analytical approaches, assess their outcomes and translate findings into meaningful organisational decisions.
Practical application forms part of both degrees. Through CEU Capstone Projects, students work on real challenges submitted by companies and other organisations in finance and analytics, applying their academic and technical knowledge to these cases.
Applications are open for both programmes at CEU in Vienna for the 2027/28 academic year.
