From 9–12 September, under the “Study in Austria” brand, the OeAD — together with representatives from 38 higher education institutions and nearly 100 Austrian participants — showcased the diversity of Austria’s higher education landscape. During the four-day conference, Austrian higher education institutions engaged with partners from around the world, strengthened collaborations, and discussed current developments in the internationalisation of higher education.
In parallel, the OeAD held meetings with the President of the IIE, EducationUSA, EAIE, and the ACA (Academic Cooperation Association), further deepening Austria’s international partnerships. A particular highlight was the Austrian Reception, organised in cooperation with Advantage Austria Stockholm and OeAD studenthousing, which welcomed around 200 guests from across the globe. Partners of Austrian higher education institutions, representatives of Austria’s universities, colleagues from IIE, EducationUSA, ACA, EAIE, as well as representatives of other national agencies came together to exchange ideas and promote international cooperation. The reception took place at the spectacular “World of Volvo” — designed by Henning Larsen Architects with timber engineering by WieHAG, a company from Upper Austria.
