The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences offers degree programmes at bachelor’s and master’s level in the departments of Rail Technology and Mobility, Health Sciences, Computer Science and Security, Digital Business and Innovation, Media and Digital Technologies, and Social Sciences. The aim is to provide vocationally orientated academic training in which practical experience and team projects play an essential role. Moreover, students will obtain a high level of foreign language competence as well as communicative and interpersonal skills, and they can choose to acquire international certificates. Study or work abroad periods are encouraged. The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is housed in a modern, friendly new building near the city centre and is equipped with state-of-the-art lecture halls, computer rooms, laboratories, a library and a refectory. Accommodation is available in three modern student residences.

The Campus Media. Campus & City Radio 94.4: The campus radio is an educational terrestrial radio station run by students and it broadcasts to students and young people in and around St. Pölten. The students receive professional training on how to fulfil the wide range of tasks involved in making radio (www.campusradio.at).
c-tv: Under the lecturers’ guidance students produce their own TV programmes and learn about all the steps ranging from idea development, planning and production to finishing and distribution (www.campusfernsehen.at). c-tv maybe watched on the Viennese channel Okto, ORF, BR alphaand as a web stream (www.campusfernsehen.at).
SUMO Magazine: All students interested in writing articles or in performing any other tasks related to producing a magazine are welcome to join the SUMO team. SUMO is published twice a year and covers media-related topics.

Studios and Laboratories. With more than 10 on-campus laboratories, the UAS St. Pölten provides its students with professional, cutting-edge equipment which offer an ideal atmosphere for learning and working. The studios include the Audio Lab, the Digital Health Lab, the Interactive Media Lab, the Photo Studio, the raiLab – Rail Transport Lab, the TV Studio, etc.

Creative Pre-Incubator. Within this program students transform their idea into a successful business- Students have the opportunity to build a team and find people to augment their team with know-how. Students are introduced to the start-up scene, get to know potential investors and business angels and find their way into the funding landscape.
