This year, six Austrian universities made it into the top 50 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, out of 55 fields of study. The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna ranked highest in Performing Arts, coming in fourth place. The University of Vienna achieved the most top 50 placements with eight entries, performing best in Communication Sciences, ranking tenth.
