OeAD counselling activities regarding studying, scholarships and aliens' law in 2024

The OeAD is often the first point of contact for students and researchers planning a study or research stay in Austria, Europe or worldwide. The OeAD also responds to enquiries from higher education institutions and other institutions. In the calendar year 2023 the OeAD answered about 7,500 enquiries from students, researchers and institutions. Counselling sessions for Ukrainian pupils and students totalled around 1,500 last year.

Moreover, about 3,000 job advertisements at PhD level and above of Austrian higher education and research institutions were published in the EURAXESS job database in 2024.

The OeAD provides comprehensive advice by email and telephone on questions relating to studying and research in Austria, scholarships and entry and residence regulations for students and researchers.
