From 1 April to 31 July, research enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds were invited to participate in research and immerse themselves in the world of science.
Documenting amphibian calls, researching invasive mosquito species, evaluating urban spaces and mobility, recognising and analysing dialects, linking mathematics to everyday topics, exploring the multilingualism of one's own environment and conducting soil health tests: the topics and opportunities for participation were diverse and offered points of contact for many interests. An overview of the projects can be found HERE.
School classes and youth groups were able to participate in all seven projects, individuals in four, and families in three.
The most committed citizen scientists will be honoured at a festive ceremony during the 4th Young Science Congress. This will take place on 23 October in cooperation with Johannes Kepler University Linz and the Ars Electronica Center. The programme will be available on the Young Science website from the beginning of September.
