Top rankings of Austrian universities in THE University Ranking

In seven of the eleven subject groups, Austrian universities made it into the top 100 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Ranking 2021. The University of Vienna can boast six top rankings, particularly impressive is its 34th place in the Arts & Humanities department. The TU Vienna was able to maintain its 80th place in the Computer Sciences. In addition, ten Austrian universities made it into the top 300.

The ranking is carried out by the English magazine "Times Higher Education", in cooperation with Elsevier. This annual THE ranking, which is aimed at the entire institution, comprises 13 indicators, which are assigned to 5 dimensions: research score, citation score, teaching score, internationality and technology transfer.
