The data group Clarivate published the list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2021" - the most cited scientists in the world. Accordingly, 6,602 people from more than 70 countries make up the top percent of the most cited scientists, among them 43 researchers who are at least partially active in Austria. "Highly Cited Researchers" are all those researchers who ranked in the top percent in their scientific field in the survey year and thus had a significant influence on their subject.
