New call for applications for the University of Klagenfurt Technology Scholarships

The fifth call for application for the winter semester 2022 has been opened. Deadline is the 13 March 2022.

The positive development of the regional labour market in the sector of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has resulted in an increasing demand for skilled professionals. The University of Klagenfurt is responding to this demand by training highly qualified specialists in the ICT sector and awarding the University of Klagenfurt Technology Scholarships, which aim at:

  • increasing the number of highly qualified ICT professionals,
  • enhancing diversity in the Federal State of Carinthia and at the University of Klagenfurt,
  • increasing the number of international students at the University of Klagenfurt, and
  • promoting the University of Klagenfurt's internationalization efforts.

Scholarship holders shall be enabled to finance the second year of their Master’s degree programme with a paid internship, which is also part of the curriculum. So far, in cooperation with the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) and Federation of Austrian Industries (IV), scholarship holders have been supported in finding a paid internship in the first year of their Master’s degree programme.


Based on an agreement with the University of Klagenfurt, the OeAD has published the call for applications and will accompany the selection process, awards the scholarships and offers its services to the selected scholarship holders.

Eligible for application are students who

have completed a Bachelor’s degree in an ICT study field, in one of the following countries/regions: Albania; Algeria; Argentina; Belarus; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bulgaria; Congo - Democratic Republic of the; Croatia; Egypt; Estonia; Greece; Israel; Jordan; Kosovo; Latvia; Lebanon; Libya; Lithuania; Montenegro; Morocco; North Macedonia; Palestinian territories; Poland; Portugal; Romania; Russian Federation; Serbia; Slovenia; Syrian Arab Republic; Tunisia; Turkey; Ukraine; Uruguay; Uzbekistan; Viet Nam

and who are interested to pursue one of the following Master’s degree programmes

Women are expressly invited to apply. Altogether a maximum of 12 scholarships will be awarded.
